Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice (Racliff) Moore of Wellston, Ohio; his children: Allen (Kathy) Moore of Portsmouth, Ohio, Tim (Lisa) Moore of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Beverly Jones of Jackson, Ohio; his grandchildren: Josh (Ashley) Merrill and Jennifer and Aaron Jones; great-grandchildren: Chloe, Zoey, Olivia, Addison, Maverick, and Haisley. He also leaves behind one sister, Marilyn Hunter; niece, Becky Davis; nephew, David Conlin; brothers-in-law: Roy (Penny) Radcliff, Darrell (Linda) Radcliff, and Glenn (Linda) Radcliff; and sister-in-law, Diana (Howard) White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stepfather, Morgan Miller; granddaughter, Kaydence Merrill; and sister-in-law who loved him, Sharon Radcliff.

Tom attended school in Coalton, graduating in 1955. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at the V.A. Hospital in Chillicothe for over 30 years as an orderly, caring for many veterans with stories to tell and healing hopes for their future. He read many westerns and watched many on the TV as well. He loved to fish, swim, and listen to music. He could discuss the news or politics with anyone who would listen. He enjoyed family events, especially if food was served! When his children were young, Tom enjoyed loading them in the car to take a trip to a special park or exploring caves. Planting a small garden every year was a goal, besides caring for the yard until health problems made it too difficult for him.

His grandchildren held a special place in his heart. His friends and loved ones will miss him dearly.
