Donald Wills

Donald Lee Wills, age 79, of Ray, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 7 at Adena in Chillicothe. He was born March 12, 1942, in Ray to the late Lora and Artie Wills. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Zelma (Collins) Wills; great granddaughter, Jasmine Cardwell; brothers, Harley, Russell and Herschel Wills; sisters, Margie Parks and Elvarie Castle.

He is survived by his two sons, Donnie Wills, of Ray, Ohio and Danny (Peggy) Wills, of Jackson; grandchildren, Kelly Cardwell, Courtney (Scott) Wiggins, Whitney (Jared) Ghearing; great grandchildren, Tristan Cardwell, Kane Bliss, Emily and Tyler Wiggins. Also surviving is his buddy, Michael Stevens and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

After school, Don married the love of his life, Zelma Collins. He is well known throughout the community for being the bus driver of #28 and was also later a custodian at Franklin Elementary before retiring in 1991.     

Friends may call Saturday, July 10, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Fairview Christian Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Pastors Butch Cooper and Barry Benson officiating.
