Verlie Acile Alley, age 86, of Jackson went to his Heavenly home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 29 at his home. He was born December 25, 1934, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky to the late Luther and Lillian (Davis) Alley.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, June (Arnold) Alley; children: Curtis Acile Alley, Pandora (Alley) Bebel (husband, Richard), and Anthony Reese Alley; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann and Garnett; as well as several other family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Pearl and Kenneth and sisters, Wanda and Evelyn.
Verlie enjoyed bowling, fishing, softball, working on cars, and especially loved farming. He was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Jackson, and he knew and loved the Lord. He was loved dearly by his family, and he will be greatly missed.
