Donna J. McCain died on April 7, 2020 at Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She died of complications of advanced stage COPD and pneumonia at the age of 70. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut to the late Donald Coe and Jane Gillis.
Her careers in life span from being one of the original telephone operators, to working in the business office at WQYK Radio Station for many years.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Nora Nichols; first husband, Bruce Stradley, who passed 45 years ago; and her most recent marriage of over 40 years to Fred McCain from Oak Hill, Ohio, who also precedes her in death.
She is survived by her brother, Bob Coe; and her three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Chelsea McCain, Drew and Noelle McCain, and Damian and Vale Stradley.
She was a loving wife, mother and Nana to Declan (2), Taylor (19), Avery (9), Jordan (16), Joel (20), and Nathan (22). She will be dearly missed.
A service and celebration of life will be held later this year in Oak Hill, Ohio where she will be laid to rest.
