James Todd “Jake” McCormick

James Todd “Jake” McCormick, age 56, of Oak Hill, passed away April 5, 2019 at SOMC Hospice.  He was born Sept.16, 1962 in Gallipolis to Otis and Vivian (Dillon) McCormick.  Jake was a skilled craftsman, worked in construction, and could make or fix anything.  He loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by one son, Benjamin of Oak Hill; two daughters, Alicia (Joe) Borghese and Courtney (Travis) Kreais, both of Oak Hill; six brothers, Otis Jr. “Butch” (Ruby), Brad (Connie), Johnnie, Timmy, Shawn (Teresa), Paul (Tina); four sisters, Jean Hook, Ramona Jenkins, Shawna Massie, Valerie Holter; six grandchildren, Keith, MaKayla, Cassidy, Connor, MaKenna, and Dawson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Presley and Dennis; and two sisters, Cheryl Johnson and Nancy Lemaster.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at D.W. Swick-Nelson Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Tom Pennington officiating.  Interment will follow at Gallia Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenfield Township.  Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.  Fond memories and expressions of condolence may be shared at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com
