Judi M. Ireland, age 74, of Jackson, passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 at Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly. She was born in Jackson County, Ohio on Feb. 6, 1945 to the late Cecil and Charlotte (Scurlock) Costilow. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Ireland; a granddaughter, Danielle Ireland; a brother, Rudy Costilow; and sisters, Marjorie Blanton and Naomi Starcher.
Judi is survived by her sons: Kent Ireland, Dennis (Alicia) Ireland and Tony (Laura) Ireland; grandchildren: Christopher, Savannah and Sydney Ireland; brothers: Earlin “Bud” (Linda) Costilow and Gerald “Polly” (Reta) Costilow; special friends, Ronnie and Anita Rouse; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Judi worked as a waitress for many years and was an excellent cook. She also loved to sew and crochet.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pattonsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, Judi’s family requests donations be made to the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home, 135 Broadway Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640 to help with funeral expenses.
