Melissa Margaret Wojdacz Shepherd, age 40, of Mt. Healthy, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2018. She was born March 22, 1978 in Dayton, Ohio.
Lis was a graduate of West Alexandria High School, and continued her education by obtaining an Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Care at Sinclair Community College in 1999, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing and Business from Capital University in 2001. Lis was a registered Respiratory Therapist at West Chester Hospital in Cincinnati. She was a musically talented person who enjoyed singing, along with making crafts and helping others however she could.
Lis is survived by her father and step-mother, Tim and Donna Wojdacz of Wellston; her son, Jayt Shepherd of Dayton; brother, Eric Wojdacz (Mariah) of Monticello, Ga.; half-brother, Brian Sammons of Yellow Springs, Oh.; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Elaine Smith Wick; and her grandparents.
Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, where Chaplet of the Divine Mercy service will be held at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston with Father Nic Ventura officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
