Adrian Gibson

Adrian F. Gibson passed away Sunday, November 4th, 2018 at the age of 84. He was born March 5th, 1934 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Ollie and Nora (Campbell) Gibson.

He was a 1953 graduate of Jackson High School, serving all four years as a class officer and member of the Jackson Ironmen Football team. After high school, he joined the United States Army where he served with the ELINT in the Army Security Agency.

Adrian was a retired electrician from the Kaiser Aluminum Corp. After his retirement, he enjoyed camping, woodworking, gardening, making stained glass art, and enjoying his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid HAM operator and was a member of the Rio Grande Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sharon; daughters: Diane (Don) Lewis of Jackson, Ohio, Lynda (Tom) Haddon of Hendersonville, TN, Lisa (Paul) Lasseter of Grove City, Ohio; grandchildren: Kyle (Jenni) Lewis, Kevin (Whitney) Lewis, Aaron (Kristin) Haddon, and Alena Haddon; great-grandchildren: Jack Lewis and Eli Haddon; sister, Barbara Carlisle; brother-in-law, Bill Newsom; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant siblings, Ollie Jr. and JoAnn; sister, Wilma Faye Newsom; and brother-in-law, Tom Carlisle.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8th, 2018 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a funeral service to follow at 1:00PM at the funeral home.
