After a prolonged battle with cancer, Ernest Andrew Doles Sr. died on Sept. 21, 2018 in Hamden, Ohio at his home at the age of 57. He leaves behind his wife, Pamela Doles; his children, Shilo Rutter, Rebecca Freeze, Angela Doles, Mary-Jo Doles, Ernest Doles, Jr., and Blaze Doles. He also leaves behind five siblings and numerous grandchildren.
Andy was born on Feb. 2, 1961 in Byer, Ohio, to father Clyde Doles and mother Mary-Ann Doles, who preceded him in death. When diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2017, he remained dedicated to his wife, family, and work all while his battle with cancer continued.
Andy remained a brave, iron-willed man even to his final moments with his family by his side.
Andy will be laid to rest at the Doles Cemetery in Byer, Ohio following his service. Family and friends are invited to attend his service at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson, Ohio on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Rosser officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. The Doles’ family would also like to thank all those who offered support during these difficult and trying times.
