Christine R. Davis

By | June 20, 2018

Christine R. Davis died Sunday, June 17, 2018, at “almost” 99. She was born in Union Co., Ohio, to William P. and Katie (Ellison) Graham, the youngest of eight children. Tina married W. Neil Davis in 1950. They worked together for almost 57 years, first on the family farm in Waterford, then through retirement in Beverly. The couple had no children but Tina’s mother love was expressed in teaching Sunday school and helping neighboring families. The seeds for Tina’s faith in Jesus Christ were planted at her mother’s knee. As she grew, that faith sustained her in hard times and encouraged her to share His love with others. Her deepest desire was to honor and serve her precious Lord.

She continued to live in Beverly for several years after Neil’s death, attending the 5th St. Church of Christ and the Dodge Senior Center. She later lived with family in Wellston. She attended First Baptist Church there and enjoyed activities at the Wellston Senior Center. She was thrilled to be chosen Queen and to ride in the Coal and Apple Festival parades.

All of her generation have passed. Her remaining family consists of beloved nieces and nephews, including David and Shirley Graham and great-niece Macy Graham (McArthur); Harold and Linda Graham (Wellston); Don and Joy Partlow (Delaware); Merle and Mona Robinson and Wanda Kunce (Marysville), and others.

The family thanks Jenkins Care Community for their care in her last years. Special thanks to the excellent staff at Holzer Hospital for helping Tina and her family as she left this life to enter into the joyous Life everlasting.

At her request, her remains will be cremated and interred with her beloved husband in Beverly. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Wellston on Tuesday, July 17. Flowers are welcome. For those wishing to send a more lasting gift, the family suggests the Dodge Center in Beverly or the Wellston Senior Center.
