Meredith “Victor” Johnson, age 76, of Simi Valley, California, passed away Sunday morning, March 18, 2018. He was born March 10, 1942, in Jackson, Ohio, to the late Walter Thomas Johnson and Ruby Pearl Beatty Johnson.

Meredith was a 1961 graduate of Jackson High School and played football, basketball and baseball. He was offered seven football college scholarships and declined them all to take his bride, Sandra Joyce Hutton Johnson, to California where they began their adventure on the west coast.

Meredith attended two years of junior college and ultimately quit classes to accept his first managerial position and to start a family. Meredith managed a Goodyear store and was a service manager for Courtesy Chevrolet for several years. He later accepted a position with a warranty insurance company and his journey of becoming a business owner began.

In 1990, Meredith started OnLine Administrators with his partner, Stan Megerdichian, and together they grew a successful company. He retired in 2005 and enjoyed traveling with Joyce and spending quality time with his family. His two grandsons were the joy of his golden years and he spent countless hours attending all of their athletic events.

He is survived by his beautiful wife of 58 years, Joyce; adored daughters, Vicky Johnson-Anderson (and son-in-law Michael Anderson) of Thousand Oaks, and Angie Leard (and son-in-law Steve Leard) of Simi Valley; and treasured grandsons, Stephen Sciarillo and Ryan Sciarillo.

Besides his parents, Meredith was preceded in death by his brother, Elvin Johnson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 4 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Godspeak, 2697 Lavery Court, Thousand Oaks, CA. Written condolences may be sent to: c/o Vicky Johnson-Anderson, P. O. Box 4947, Westlake Village, CA 91359 or e-mailed to VickyLJ63@verizon.net.
