Elizabeth “Betsy” G. Lewis went to be with the Lord on March 6th, 2018 at the age of 83. She was born July 5th, 1934 in Reedsville, North Carolina to the late Henry and Ruth (Burton) Gibson.
She is survived by her son, William “Bill” M. (Susan) Lewis of Jackson, Ohio; her daughter, Diane (Vernon) Miller of Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John F. Lewis Jr.; one granddaughter, Ryann E. Harmon; and eleven brothers and sisters.
Betsy loved to bowl, golf, and do word puzzles. She was a member of the Women’s Guild and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson. She will be sadly missed by many loving friends and family.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 9th, 2018 from 4-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson and again on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 from 12-2PM prior to the funeral service. Services will begin at 2PM at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Keeton officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
