James E. Keller

James E. Keller, age 81, of Jackson, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Signature Health Care in Chillicothe. He was born November 9, 1936 in Oak Hill to the late Max Arnold Keller and Mary Ann (Woods) Keller.

He is survived by his son, Larry (Tammy) Keller, of Bidwell; daughters, Nancy (Allan) Rowland, of Groveport and Vanessa (Barry) Greene, of Jackson; grandchildren, Jason Rowland, of Seattle Washington, Elizabeth (Donnie) Mount, of Chillicothe, Devon Rowland, of Groveport, Taylor Robinson, of Atlanta, Georgia, Tatum Campbell (Steven Rasp), of Jackson and Max Greene, of Jackson; nine great grandchildren, Cayne Keller, Riley Causey, Persephone Rowland, Brienna Mount, Alyssa Mount, Donnie Mount III, Zane Rowland, Zayden Rasp and Veda Rasp. Also surviving are his sisters, Patsy (Junior) Cook, of South Webster and Helen Hicks, of Portsmouth and numerous relatives and friends that loved him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Margaret Keller, grandson, Christopher Keller, brothers, Melvin, Jesse and Robert Keller and his sister, Peggy Horner.

James was very well known as a former bus driver for Oak Hill Schools. He also was the past state chaplain for the Disabled American Veterans. He served the Lord and loved to help his fellow veterans. James was a minister for close to 50 years, he was a friend to everyone, his grandchildren and his church meant everything to him.

Friends may call Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 11:00-1:00 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Randy Hall, Pastor Rick Smith and Pastor Ray Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Oak Hill with military graveside services provided by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 45 of Jackson and the Navy.
