Shirley M. Duhl

Shirley M. Duhl, age 81, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at Westmoreland Place, Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born in Franklin County, Ohio on Feb. 13, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manley and Alta C. (Davis) Weaver; her husband, Herbert H. Duhl; son, Herbert Lee “Herbie” Duhl; son-in-law, Carl Muncy; grandchildren, Herbie Duhl, Jr., Zachary L. Duhl and JoAnn Manion; great-grandchild, William J. Herron and five brothers and sisters.

She is survived by children: Debbie D. Muncy, Cynthia “Cindy” Duhl (daughter-in-law), Crystal (Neal Jr.) Manion, Doug (Angie) Duhl, Trena Diane (Ronnie) Mullins, Alan J. (Callie) Duhl, Jackie (Doug) Baxter, Kim (Jim) Collins, April Dawn (Dave) Oiler and Matt (Patty) Duhl; sister, Delores Groves; brother, Sonny Weaver; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a member of the Jackson Church of God; was a cake maker and decorator, loved to craft, and named the theme to the Apple Festival in 1974, “Music in Apples.” She also loved spending time with her family.

Friends will be received at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Friday, Oct. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Saturday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. with Doug Baxter and Ron Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
