A much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, Debbie Richards, age 61, of Jackson, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017 with her family at her side. She was born Jan. 8, 1956 to the late Charles and Rowena (Crabtree) Barnhart and resided in Jackson County her entire life. She worked for many years at the family-owned Barnhart’s Farm Market and was an excellent seamstress throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Richards; daughters: Jessica Duncan (Jay Snyder) and Julie (Chad) Grow; sisters: Paulette (Steve) Richards and Sherry (Stan) Lewis; granddaughters: Kennedy and Kylie Duncan, and Gracen Grow; great-grandson, Kameron Duncan; step-children: Sean (Linda) Richards, Todd (Melanie) Richards, and Beth Richards; step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends. She also leaves behind her beloved furbabies, Bella and Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rowena Barnhart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Friends may call Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
