Roy E. Whaley

Roy E. Whaley, age 74, of Jackson, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 28, 1943 to the late Roy Edward Whaley and Caroline Genevieve Wilt Thompson, who survives.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife, Irene (French) Whaley; sons: Roy E. Whaley III and James Walter Whaley; daughters: Cathy S. (Matt) Garvey and Luanna Whaley; sisters: Carolyn A. Whaley and Joyce (Glenn) Walker; grandchildren: Kayla Whaley, Misty Doles, C.J. Doles, Katherine Whaley, Brittany Garvey, Dustin Whaley and Pamela Whaley; along with six great-grandchildren and three step-brothers: Robbie Thompson, Tim Thompson and Marshall Thompson.

Roy worked for Dave’s Cleaning Service in Jackson and was a member of the Jackson Lions Club.

Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 10 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Jack Hughes officiating.
