Faye Laverne (Harper) Keatts

Faye Laverne (Harper) Keatts, age 72, passed away on April 25, 2017 at her home in Wylliesburg, Virginia.

She was born in Jackson, Ohio on Dec. 29, 1944 to the late Bernard Harper and the late Delpha Sickels Harper.

Faye worked for Judge Roy Gilliland and Jackson-Vinton Community Action before moving to Virginia where she worked for the Virginia Public Schools as a secretary.

Faye is survived by children, Eugenia Lawson (Tommy Hughes) of Jackson, Ohio; Bernard (Elizabeth) Sharp of Charlotte Court House, Virginia; Sherry Doles of Jackson, Ohio; Kenneth Keatts (Jennifer Bowe) of Chester, Virginia; Shellie McLean of Wylliesburg, Virginia and Kellie (Robert) Wilmoth of Red Oak, Virginia. One brother, Alfred E. Harper of Jackson, Ohio also survives. Faye leaves behind 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert C. Keatts and two brothers, Dwayne Harper and Larry D. Harper; and her son-in-law, Charles G. Lawson.

“A celebration to honor Faye’s life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Promise Land Church, 703 Pattonsville Road, Jackson, OH 45640, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; please join us,” a family member said.
