Shirley M. Strong, age 63, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Heartland of Jackson. She was born Feb. 7, 1954 in Jackson County, Ohio to the late Charles R. and Winnie (Eblin) Shopshear.
She lived in Jackson her entire life and enjoyed playing bingo and the lottery. She worked as a cook at J.R. Valentine’s Restaurant and Lewis Family Restaurant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles R. Shopshear and sisters: Rosalee and Bonnie Lou Shopshear.
Shirley is survived by her children: Robert E. Strong and Heather (Ronnie) Durham; grandchilden: Tara Durham, Cody Durham, Clarly Canter, Bret Durham; great-grandchild, Soffie Durham; brother, James H. (Ruth) Shopshear; sister, June Carter; uncle, Lawrence Eblin; niece, Carmella (Timothy) Graham; great-nephew, Keegan Graham and great-niece, Kameron Graham.
