Anthony Austin Meadows

On Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, Anthony Austin Meadows, age 18, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away due to a heroin overdose. Anthony was born on Oct. 16, 1998 in Chillicothe, Ohio. Anthony attended Jackson High School. Anthony was charismatic, fun-loving, and had a heart of gold. He loved his family and friends. He also enjoyed riding four-wheelers, hunting, and working on cars with his Pap.

He is survived by his loving mother, Kimberly Meadows (Jeff Farrar); loving grandmothers, Loretta Johnson and Joann Olsen; aunts, Amanda Meadows (Tony Estep) and Faith Olsen; and an uncle, Joshua Lutz. Also surviving are siblings: Kiyon Meadows, K’von Neal, Kurstan Meadows, Kelsy (Mark) Staten, and Devin (Jonna) Johnson, along with many great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by great-grandparents, Frank and Dorothy Johnson, and Chester and Rhoda Meadows, along with his grandfather, Walter Meadows, and his Pap and life-long best friend, Frank Johnson, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery on a later date.
