Dorothy Mae (Reese) (Stewart) Baker, age 84, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones at Jenkins Care Community on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016. She was born June 19, 1932 to the late Evart and Alma Lesley Reese.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Baker; her three children: Della (David) Stewart Haydon of Dalton, Georgia, Tom (Paula) Stewart of Jackson, Ohio, and Tim (Drema) Stewart of Jackson, Ohio; two step-children: Mary Elleen West of Kentucky and Bob (Lorie) Stewart of Jackson, Ohio; six grandchildren: Matthew Haydon, Nicholas Haydon, Daniel Stewart, Luke Stewart, Seth Stewart, and Breanna Ousley; step-grandchildren: Cheryl West, Eddie Stewart, Brenda Stewart, Kenny Stewart, David Ray Lyons, Johny Lyons, Robbie Wetstein, Andy Stewart, Betsy Haislop, and Josh Stewart; and one brother, Morgan (Patty) Reese of Texas; as well as several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Dan Stewart; sister, Louise Henn; and step-son, Dan Edward Stewart.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Minister Terry Geer officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
