Karen L. Angles, age 76, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born July 21, 1940 in Vinton County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elza and Julia Salmons Camp. Karen was a 1958 graduate of Wellston High School and was a former supervisor at Austin Powder.
She is survived by her children, P.D. Angles of Wellston, Tami Downard (Scott) of Wellston and Traci Maloney (Steve) of South Webster, along with six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents, Karen was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Camp; sisters, Betty Potts and Joyce Krahel; grandson, Garrett Maloney; and her former husband, P.D. Angles.
At Karen’s request, her body was cremated and there will be no public services. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given in Karen’s name to the Jackson County Dog Pound, 248 Reservoir Road, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
