Alma Ruth Fite, age 95 of Jackson, passed away at her residence on Thursday, November 10, 2016. She was born in Jackson, Ohio on October 18, 1921 to the late Perry and Nellie (McGhee) Grimes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Fite, an infant son, Larry Joseph Fite, and a grandson, Stephen Hanks.
She is survived by a son, Richard P. (Denise) Fite, and daughters, Sandy (Bill) Mossman and Christine (Mike) Meade. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Todd Mossman, Jeremy Mossman, Richard E. Fite, Randall Fite, Shawn Hanks, Jason Hanks and Jarrod Hanks. 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild also survive.
Alma lived her entire life in Jackson and was a life-time member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
No calling hours will be observed. Graveside funeral services will be held at Fairmount Cemetery on Sunday, November 13 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Jason Hanks officiating.
