Leon Edward Jayjohn, 47, of Wellston, went home to join his nephew, Levi, on Saturday evening, July 2, 2016, at Holzer Medical Center-Jackson ER. He was born in Oak Hill, December 13, 1968, son of the late Ernest E. Jayjohn and Judy M. Riffle Jayjohn Watters of Wellston, who survives.

Leon was an employee of the city of Wellston in water distribution for 29 years. He was a very hard worker always helping others and was an avid hunter, fisherman, coach, and football fan. He attended the Freewill Baptist Church.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Levi Pierce, in 2015.

Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons, Nathan and Ethan Jayjohn, and two daughters, Chasity and Ally Mae Jayjohn, all of Wellston; three grandchildren, Karson and Aryannah Jayjohn, and Tayler Marlowe; two brothers, Donnie Joe Watters II and Poogie Jayjohn, of Wellston; a sister, Kim M. Jayjohn (Bobby Pierce) of Wellston; a niece, Judy Jayjohn; five nephews, Trenton and Travis Jayjohn, and Donnie Joe III, Ira, and Josey Watters; a great niece, Laliyah Jayjohn, and a great nephew, Waylon Jayjohn; and an uncle, Ernie Riffle (Jo) of Wellston.

The family will receive Leon’s friends at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the Jenkins Chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Mathews officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
