Margaret E. Smith, age 83 of Coalton, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Jackson, Ohio on April 17, 1933 to the late Lloyd William and Eyota (Straten) Stiffler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gordon Smith; brothers: William, Clifford, Carlos, Gene, Gaston, David, and infant Larry; and sisters: Juanita, Alice, Melinda and Yvonne. She is survived by her children: Marsha Pachuta and Bernard Smith; brothers: Herman and Floyd Stiffler; sister, Mary Frisby; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Margaret loved watching the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State football. She also enjoyed flowers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Queen officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday May 24 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
