Renee (Campbell) Mercer, age 52, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Born on December 19, 1963, she was the youngest daughter of the late Thomas and Judith (Metzler) Campbell. Her only child, Adam Mercer preceded her in death in 2006.

Renee is survived by her husband, David Mercer. Sister, Debbie (Mike) Evans, also survives, along with her children and grandchildren: Michael (Rebecca) Evans and Josh (Wesley) Evans, Kirsten, Deegan, Jaelyn and Weslyn Renee Evans. Mother and father- in-law, Kenny and Roxie Mercer of Jackson also survive.

Renee graduated from Oak Hill High School with the Class of 1982 and married her husband David, in May of 1983. She was a loving wife and a wonderful mother to their only son Adam, who tragically passed away from injuries he received in a four-wheeler accident.

Always pleasant and kind, Renee was a beautiful person both inside and out. Her sweet demeanor resonated with everyone. She loved the sunshine, flower gardening, and her favorite season was spring. Being blessed with a green thumb and an eye for design, she kept her picture-perfect back yard worthy of any magazine cover. She enjoyed vacationing at the beach, but mostly loved being at home spending time with family and her fur granddog, Lily.

Memories of her great sense of humor, kind heart, and loving spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio.

A public graveside memorial service will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Herman Stewart officiating.
