Charles “Charlie” W. Jenkins, age 81, of Waverly, formerly of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his home. He was born February 20, 1935 in Oak Hill to the late Joseph and Ada (Chaney) Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rose Jenkins, of Waverly; children, Peggy McKenzie, of Oak Hill, William (Teresa) Jenkins, of Oak Hill, Earl (Jo Ellen) Jenkins, of KY, Sally Cox, of Peebles, Kevin Jenkins, of Waverly, Brenda Long, of Oak Hill, Steve Keller, of Lucasville, Melvin Keller, of Gallia, Melissa (John) Schob, of South Webster, and Kayla, of Beaver. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; half sisters, Bonnie Ratliff and Patricia Jenkins, both of Oak Hill and numerous other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 sons, Charles Robert Jenkins and John David Jenkins, and 3 great grandchildren, Dwayne, Emily and Alexis Stacey.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with Pastor Bryon Carmon officiating. Burial will follow in Owl Creek Cemetery.
