Helen M. Lucas, age 89, of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Holzer Assisted Living Center in Jackson. She was born on January 4, 1927 in Jackson County to the late James and Mildred (Wills) Lucas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Bob Lucas and Jim Lucas.
Helen was a telephone operator in Jackson for nearly 40 years. She would always help anybody.
Helen is survived by her sister, Shirley Rausch of Columbus, along with two nephews: Jim Rausch and David Lee Rausch.
No funeral services will be held. Per her request, her body was cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home and Southern Ohio Cremation Services in Jackson. Condolences can be emailed to www.mayhew-brownfuneralhome.com
