Ernest J. Pariseau

Ernest J. Pariseau, age 47, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday morning, March 16, 2016, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. He was born August 23, 1968 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Dennis F. Pariseau and Donna G. Freed Pariseau.

Ernest was a 1987 graduate of Wellston High School, where he excelled as an all-star in football and track. While in high school, he was also enthusiastically involved in the school plays, as well as the choir ensemble group, Opus. Following graduation, Ernest continued his education by earning an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and then later securing employment in the retail management field.

Ernest was a veteran of the United States Army, having been a member of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and the honor guard drill team which guarded the White House. He was a member of the Crossroads World Outreach Ministries in Columbus, and he enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Ernest is survived by his brothers and sisters, Ethan Pariseau (Vicki) of Jackson, Nathaniel Pariseau (Amanda) of Wellston, Leeanne Washington (Lee) of Shaker Heights, Daniel Pariseau of New Orleans, Andrew Pariseau of Lancaster, Matthew Pariseau (Melissa) of Wilmington, Mark Pariseau (Donna) of Wilmington, Jonathan Pariseau (Kim) of Portsmouth, Sarah Pariseau of Weirton, W. Va., Cory Pariseau of Columbus, Johnny B. “J.B.” Pariseau of Newark, Martin Pariseau of Newark and Jerry Scheidler (Leslie) of Mansfield; foster sister, Nicole Smith of Columbus, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his foster siblings, Benjamin and Gabrielle.

Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Crossroads Worship Outreach Ministries, 165 South Cypress Avenue, Columbus 43229 and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. A celebration of Ernest’s life will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with his brother, Pastor Cory P. Pariseau, officiating. Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
