Mary Ann Jarvis, age 66, of McArthur, passed away peacefully Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born May 22, 1949 in McArthur, Ohio to the late Leo R. Gregory and Margaret A. Risner Gregory.
Mary Ann was a 1967 graduate of Vinton County High School. She was a former dedicated employee for the City of Wellston for 28 years. In 2002, Mary Ann retired as the Wellston City Clerk. She enjoyed reading, participating in the Wellston Rotary Minstrel Shows and reaching out to friends on Facebook.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Randy J. Jarvis; children, Marsha Boyer of Wellston, Kathy Long (Tom) of McArthur and Travis Jarvis (April Addy) of McArthur; grandchildren, Brooklyn Long, Bailey Long and Bryce Jarvis, along with several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, friends and her canine companion, Pepper.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. In keeping with Mary Ann’s wishes, cremation will follow service and private burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
