Pearl M. Smith, age 98, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2016, at Four Winds Nursing Facility in Jackson. She was born March 16, 1917 in Pikeville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Daniel Bowling and Dolly Gibson Bowling.
Pearl was a loving housewife and homemaker. She is survived by her son, John Locke of Oklahoma and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Smith in 2000; son, Donald Locke, and nine siblings.
