Ainee Alice (Presley) Salmons, age 99, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Jenkins Care Community in Wellston, Ohio. She was born on December 23, 1916 in Williamsburg, West Virginia to the late James and Ferby Ellen (Gilbert) Presley. She married Ellsworth Drewie Salmons on June 9, 1934.
Besides her parents, preceding her in death were her husband “Drew”; a son, Donald Salmons; a grandson, Tim Hartley; seven brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by daughters: Doris Hartley-Stewart of Wellston and companion Duane Bogart and Ida Alice Farley of Delaware, Ohio; daughter-in-law: Carol Salmons of Racine, Ohio; granddaughters: D.J. Hartley-Moe (Rick) of Atlanta, Georgia, Teri Jones and companion Tom Hubbard of Grove City, Ohio, Melinda Miller (Mark) of Shade, Ohio and Michelle Caldwell (Andy) of Delaware, Ohio; granddaughter-in-law, Margaret (Hartley) Hanna; grandsons: David Salmons (Jane) of Post Falls, Idaho and Del Farley II and companion Jennifer Polewchak-Bellman of Maineville, Ohio; great-grandchildren: Kathrine Moe of Birmingham, Alabama, Cassidy Salmons of Post Falls, Idaho and Brenden Caldwell of Delaware, Ohio.
Ainee loved flowers and gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Hamden Nazarene Church.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson, Ohio on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jim Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at Hamden Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.
