Michael “Mike” Waldron

Michael “Mike” Waldron, age 64, of Cape Coral, Florida, and a former resident of Wellston, traded his earthly home for his Heavenly one, surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 27, 2015, after a long battle with a neuro/muscular disorder.

He was born November 27, 1951 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Windy and Carrie Harvey Waldron. Mike was a 1969 graduate of Wellston High School and was employed by Kerr Distributors for 30 years. He was an avid NASCAR/Sprint Car fan and he loved woodworking, remodeling and was a jack of all trades.

Above all else, Mike loved his family and friends. He was a member of the Crosspoint Christian Church in Cape Coral and the Delta Masonic Lodge #207 F&AM in McArthur.

Mike is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Stewart Waldron of Cape, Coral, FL; sister, Annette Andrews of Allensville; daughters, Melanie Waldron and Carrie Waldron, both of Wellston, Kim Jenkins of Albany and Holly Waldron of New Mansfield; sons, Matt (Meredith) Waldron of Jackson, Noah (Nikki) Waldron of McArthur, Jacob Waldron of Wellston and Joey (Megan) Waldron of Vanceburg, KY; grandsons, Michael, Logan, Nolan, Nicholas, Nathaniel, A.J. and Brennan; granddaughter, Emma; step-children, Mark (Cinda) Thiel of Johnstown, OH and Tricia (Will) Rose of Middletown, OH; step-grandchildren, Steven, Olivia, Tori and Bailey, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, including special cousin, Marilyn Warner of Sarasota, FL; special caregiver, Tori Osborne of Middletown, OH, and his beloved dog, Tommy.

Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his son, Brad Waldron. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home Wellston, where a Masonic service will be held by the Delta Lodge #207 at 7:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with James Frazier officiating.
