Dorothy Ann (Roach) Durham

Dorothy Ann (Roach) Durham, 70, of Wellston, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home in Wellston. She was born on March 17, 1945 in New Haven, West Virginia, daughter of the late Percy and Leona (Clark) Roach.

Dorothy enjoyed crafts of all kinds, playing bingo, and working crossword puzzles. In her younger years, she was an avid vegetable gardener and canner. She enjoyed dancing and singing and was a member of the gospel group, “Joyful Tones.”

She is survived by her loving family: children: John Durham and Anna Graves; eight grandchildren: Shana, John, Beth, Mary, Joey, Angie, Courtney, and Timmy; five great-grandchildren: Jacob, Summer, George, Joseph, and Macie; sister, Debbie (Gilbert L.) Hartley; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen C. “Cliff” Durham, and four sisters.

A funeral service celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015 in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., with Pastor Theron Durham officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday, December 12, from 6 to 9 p.m.
