Anna Kathleen Yerian

Anna Kathleen Yerian, 92, of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 27, 2015, at Four Winds Nursing Home in Jackson, after a brief illness. She was born January 24, 1923 in Jackson, to the late Ellsworth F. and Martha Frances (Evans) Colby.

Kathleen was a graduate of Jackson High School, class of 1940. She retired from the Jackson High School Cafeteria Program after 21 years. She was a former member of the Calvary United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son Dave Yerian and daughter Penny Bonham; grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Yerian-Risch and Kyle Bonham; great-grandchildren, Cade and Hailey Risch. She is also survived by Pearl (Bill) Bowman, Ellsworth (Peg) Colby, Martha (Dwight) Walburn, and Linda (Gerald) Tussing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother Lamar “Tex” Colby, Evelyn Colby White, and Darlene Colby Delong.

Kathleen loved her grandchildren, cooking, sewing, and crafting.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson 1 p.m. Saturday, December 5, with Rev. Don Price officiating. Friends may call from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.
