Rowena Helen (Crabtree) Barnhart, age 87, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home. She was born August 17, 1928 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Clarence and Daisy (McCain) Crabtree.
She is survived by daughters: Paulette (Steve) Richards of Thurman, Ohio, Sherry (Stan) Lewis of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Debbie (Bob) Richards of Jackson, Ohio; grandchildren: Andrea (Jeff) Hale of Thurman, Ohio, Stephen (Tara) Richards of Thurman, Ohio, Stephanie (Brad) Shaffner of Dublin, Ohio, Bengie (Tammy) Lewis of Westerville, Ohio, Jamie (Margo) Lewis of Palo Alto, California, Jessica Duncan of Jackson, Ohio, and Julie (Chad) Grow of Logan, Ohio; great-grandchildren: Cody and Griffin Hale, Grant and Jordan Pritchard, Austin Shaffner, Jonah, Jayden, and Dawson Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Payton Taylor, Madison and Elle Richards, Kylie Duncan, and Gracen Grow; great-great-grandson, Kameron Duncan; sisters: Shelba (Sonny) Harless of Jackson, Ohio, Alvin Crabtree of Ashville, Ohio, Hayden (Karen) Crabtree of Logan, Ohio, Herman (Vickie) Crabtree of Jackson, Ohio, and Darrell Crabtree of Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barnhart who passed on September 3, 2015; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Gordan; brothers: Edgar, Arnold, Billy and Warren Crabtree; infant sister, Esther; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Stan Howard and Rev. Brian Mallott officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery.
