Margaret Virgene Wolfe

Margaret Virgene Wolfe, age 83, a lifelong resident of Wellston, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Edgewood Manor of Wellston. She was born September 26, 1932 to the late Earl Francis Clark and Letha Thelma Salmans Clark.

Virgene was a 1950 graduate of Wellston High School and was also a graduate of the Portsmouth Business College. She was retired from Frick-Gallagher Manufacturing in Wellston where she was employed in the accounting department for approximately 20 years.

Virgene was an artist, a writer and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Family was very important to her. She was a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church in Wellston and a member of the “Birthday Club”, a local group of friends who would get together every month to celebrate each other’s birthdays.

Virgene is survived by her daughter, Lisa Romaine of High Bridge, New Jersey; two granddaughters, Amanda Romaine of Portland, Oregon and Melissa Romaine of High Bridge, New Jersey; sister, Rita Tewksbary of Warren, Oh.; nieces, Rebecca Bickel and Lenora Sue Yocum; nephew, David Tewksbary, as well as several cousins and close friends.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.
