Patrick “Pat” Bailey

Rev. Patrick “Pat” Bailey, age 67, of Jackson, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on November 13, 1947 to the late Hersel and Kathren (Prater) Bailey.

Besides his parents, preceding him in death were his brothers Philip Bailey and Paul Livingston, and a sister, Polly Larson.

Pat is survived by his wife Carol (Morris) Bailey; children: Patrick Scott Bailey, William Adam Bailey (Eleanor Bolner), Tami (Ray) Fletcher and Ashley Bailey (Ryan Bentley); grandchildren: Kelsey Jane Bailey, Bree-Ann Bailey, Haley Fletcher, Triston Forsythe, Kelsey and Brandon Bolner, and Brook and RJ Bentley. Also surviving is a sister, Marsha (Jim) Butler, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Pat was the co-owner/operator of Bailey Family Shoes for many years; a Liberty Township trustee for 16 years, and a four-year Jackson County Commissioner. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Community Church in Jasper, Ohio, and was a pastor at several local churches over the years. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Monday, November 9 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rusty Remington officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received on Sunday, November 8, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson.
