Thomas “Shane” Williams

Thomas “Shane” Williams, age 59, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. He was born April 18, 1956 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Helen (McCown) Williams and the late Thomas L. Williams.

Shane was a member of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam and then on with the Army Rangers. He worked at Kenworth and loved riding his Harley-Davidson.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lena (Salmons) Williams of Jackson, Ohio; sons: Charles (Stefanie) Runyon, Roger Runyon, and Alex Williams, all of Jackson, Ohio; brothers: Brian (Michelle) Williams, Mike Williams, and Tommy Hughes; and grandchildren: Amber and Tyler Runyon.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Perry Bradford officiating. Burial will follow at Paul’s Chapel Cemetery.
