Harry J. Riffell, age 79, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. He was born September 14, 1935 to the late Charles and Minnie (Henderson) Riffell.
He is survived by his daughter, Patty (David) Opalacz of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael Kraft of Florida and Garrett Kraft of Minnesota; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Edna (Hughes) Riffell; three brothers; and two sisters.
Harry was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. He retired from the Kroger Company in Jackson, Ohio.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. The funeral service will take place on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jack Hughes officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
