Millard Harmon

Millard Harmon, age 67, of Hamden, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 18, 2015 at his home. He was born September 2, 1947 in Martin County, Kentucky to the late Jess “Willard” Harmon and Violet Maynard Harmon.

Millard was a self-employed laborer who was a “Jack of all trades” and enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Betty Jean Wilson Harmon; children, Michelle Crouse of Columbus, Sharon Sweeney (Dallas) of Martin Co., Ky., Steven Harmon (Teresa) of Portsmouth, Jess Harmon (Gracie Collins) of Hamden and Danny Harmon (Tansey Wilson) of Hamden; siblings, Fay Jude of Martin Co., Ky., Irene Johnson of Parkersburg, W. Va., Martha Ooten of Martin Co., Ky., Jr. Harmon of Columbus and Adam Harmon of Martin Co., Ky., as well as 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Millard was preceded in death by sister, Nade Jude; brother, Gillard Harmon; and daughter-in-law, Ryann Harmon.

Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hamden Cemetery. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
