Sharon S. McDaniel, age 70, of McArthur, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Main Street Terrace Care Center in Lancaster, Ohio. She was born in Hamden, Ohio to the late Herb Cottrill and Mary Bayes Cottrill.
Sharon was a homemaker who was an avid reader, loved cats and was an enthusiastic New York Yankees fan.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Debra McDaniel of Laurelville; two grandsons, Shawn McDaniel (Valerie) of Lancaster and Jeremy McDaniel of Lancaster; former daughter-in-law, Johanna Patridis (Alex) of Logan; sister-in-law, Arlene Cottrill of Columbus; lifelong friend, Christine Napper of Jackson, as well as two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ray Cottrill and Ronald Cottrill; sister, Kay McManis; and her longtime companion, Donald Rowland.
At Sharon’s request, her body was cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be given to a cat or animal rescue organization of your choice.
