Ronald Gene Dalton, age 70, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015. He was born December 12, 1944 in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Eugene Merrit and Jewel Dean (Long) Dalton.

Ronald was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed at New River Electrical Corporation, from which he retired in December of 2008. He was also a 40 year member of the IBEW Local 317. He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Jackson.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon Lee (Claar) Dalton of Jackson, Ohio; children: Michael Stephen (Becky) Dalton of Yuma, Arizona, Melissa Suzanne (Dalton) Boucher of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Melinda Suzette Dalton of Jackson, Ohio; four grandchildren: Brandon, Nathan, and Benjamin Dalton of Yuma, Arizona, and Jared Boucher of Troy, Missouri; five great-grandchildren: Kenzie, Taryn, and Lily Dalton and Marli and Hunter Boucher; nephew, Roy (Vicki )Williams; niece, Lindsay (Williams) King; special nephew, Evan King; nephew, Daniel Roberts; sister-in-law, Patty Howell; brother-in-law, Duane (Susan) Roberts; well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda (Dalton) Smith and brother-in-law, Clay Howell.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Minister Mike Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
