Terry Hughes, 68, of Oak Hill, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Heartland of Jackson. He was born August 29, 1946 in Jackson County, to the late James and Grace (Rawlins) Hughes. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran.
He is survived by son, Chris (Kim) Hughes of Chillicothe; grandsons, Wes and Kyle; sister, Joan (Sherman) Baisden of Jackson; brothers, Jasper (Shirley) Hughes of Oak Hill, Brenton (Norma) Hughes of Firebrick; Larry Hughes of Oak Hill, and Ronnie (Janice) Hughes of Oak Hill; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Phillips and Virginia Stroth; and three brothers, Jimmy Hughes, Bill Hughes, and Paul Hughes.
Friends may call at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill on Friday, May 1, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service with military honors will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 3 p.m. with Allen Potter officiating at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
