Geraldine Willis

Geraldine Willis, age 91, of Columbus, and a former resident of Jackson and Wellston, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was born August 26, 1923 in Farraday, Kentucky to the late Shade and Ida Sexton Franklin. Geraldine was a former hairdresser and she was a member of the Eastern Star organization.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerry C. Phillips of Columbus; grandson, Kyle C. Phillips and his wife, Dawn M. Deaterla of Columbus; two great-grandsons, Colin Michael Phillips and Michael Joseph Phillips, as well as many, many loved nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther J. Lucas; her second husband, Wendell Willis; brothers, Ronald J. Franklin and Edward Franklin, and sisters, Wanda Williams and Phyllis Crosby.

Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating.
