Jerry Donald Messer, age 58, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. He was born January 1, 1957, in Mingo County, West Virginia to the late Ronald Messer and Mandy (Finnley) Messer.
Besides his parents, a brother, Roger Messer, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche (Bowling) Messer; a son, Ronald (Amanda) Messer; daughters, Sara French, Marsha Messer, Jamie Messer, Mandy Messer and Jessica Messer; sisters, Letha Collins and Barbara Mullins, and his step-mother, Flossie Estep.
Jerry was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Glenroy Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 13 at 2 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson. Friends will be received two hours prior to the service from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson with ceremonies by the D.A.V. Jackson Chapter 45.
