Selma E. Zimmerman, age 92, of Wellston, passed away Sunday December 28, 2014 at the Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis. She was born September 2, 1922 in Gallipolis, the daughter of the late John Harrison “Harry” Willis and Faye Thaxton Willis. Selma was a 1941 graduate of Wellston High School. Selma was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellston, and an avid bridge player.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Nancy) Zimmerman of Columbus, Judy (Bob) Teichman of Wellson, Andy Zimmerman of Jackson and Richard (Glenda) Zimmerman of Wellston, as well as 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Selma was proceeded in death by her husband, Carl W. Zimmerman, brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Frances Willis, and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Zimmerman.
At Selma’s request, there will be no calling hours. Public graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston with John Pelletier officiating.
