Patricia “Patsy” (Coll) Morrow

Patricia “Patsy” (Coll) Morrow, age 87, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Holzer Assisted Living in Jackson. She was born July 6, 1927 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Dan P. Jr. and Maude (Arthur) Coll.

She was a lifetime resident of Jackson, Ohio and lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She graduated from Jackson High School, class of 1945. She first attended college at St. Mary’s of the Springs in Columbus, Ohio, and then finished her last two years of college at The Ohio State University with a degree in Education. She taught for one year in Jackson City Schools and then was a long-time substitute teacher. She was also a member of Fairgreens Country Club, Altar Rosary Society, Ro-Anns, Jackson Women’s League, and she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority at Ohio State. She was also a past catechism teacher at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Patsy met her husband-to-be William “Bill” Morrow early in high school and had her first date with Bill on New Year’s Eve in 1941. For the next 63 years they were inseparable. Bill and Patsy were married in 1950 and had a wonderful 54-year marriage. She loved spending time with Bill, her four sons and their spouses. More recently, she loved spending time with her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is survived by sons, Dan (Karla) Morrow of Jackson, Ohio, Bob (Jill) Morrow of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Steve (Jenny) Morrow of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and John (Stefanie) Morrow of Dublin, Ohio; grandchildren, Max (Jo Kristin) Morrow, Christi (Sean) O’Neill, Julie Morrow, Alex Morrow, Cory (Ryan) Puskala, Chad Morrow, Justen (Audrey) Morrow, Hannah (Ray) Noe, and Josh Morrow; great-grandchildren, Kiptyn Morrow, Palmer Puskala, Brooks Puskala, and Bella O’Neill; sister, Mary “Mimi” Conroy; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Bill who passed away in 2004; as well as her brother-in-law, Bill Conroy.

Calling hours will be held at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mass will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 2 p.m. with Father Joseph John Trapp II officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patsy’s memory to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 334 Court St., Jackson, Ohio 45640.
