Kenneth Ray Henry

Kenneth Ray Henry passed away at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio at 12:08 a.m., November 11, 2014. He was born October 3, 1925 to Lottie and O.R. Henry and lived all 89 years in Jackson, Ohio. He worked with his family in the Henry Grocery Company. He and his brothers also owned Southern Orchards for a time. He was a WW II veteran, serving in the United States Navy.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Kendra Lee (Ken) Henry of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Robert (Maria) Ettenhofer of San Francisco, California, Andrew Kenneth (Nicole) Ettenhofer of Chicago, Illinois, and Stephanie Dawn (Jeremy) Ramey of Sunbury, Ohio; two great-grandsons, Caleb Ramey and Henry London Culcasi; sister-in-law, Peg Ratliff; brother-in-law, Alfred Banister; brother, Max Henry; sister, Ruth Henry; and daughter-in-law, Mary Henry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; his son, Robert Henry; his sister, Eleanor Walke; and his brothers, Edmund and Fred Henry.

Kenny loved the grocery business, his family, and friends. He is loved by his family and friends for his quick wit, intelligence, wisdom, generosity, and hard work.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
