Jean Louise Watts

Jean Louise Watts, 88, of Chandler, AZ and Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2014 in AZ. She was born June 26, 1926, Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of Homer Clayton McCartney, Sr and Jennie Mae (Woltz) McCartney, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy L Watts and two brothers: HC McCartney, Jr and Harry F (Martha) McCartney.

She married George W Watts, who survives her, on May 9, 1953. She is also survived by her children: Peggy L (Bruce) Jeffries, of Rock Port, MO and Edward C Watts, of Maricopa, AZ as well as four grandchildren: Tiffany Welch, Brian Watts, Nathan Jeffries, and Micah Jeffries and four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and cousins. She spent many years singing as soloist, and in choirs in various churches and communities, including the Beavercreek Mothersingers. She was a champion of causes and issues relating to those with Mental and Developmental Disabilities, especially in Greene County. She was a faithful member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, and her greatest joys were her husband and family.

Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road on Wednesday evening, September 24, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 25 at 11 a.m. with interment in Mt.
