Bonny J. Morrow, age 79, of Wellston, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born June 12, 1934 in Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Paul H. Gettles and Florence Stover Gettles.
Bonny was a 1952 graduate of Wellston High School. She retired from J-Vac Industries in Wellston, where she was employed for over 32 years, and she was a former EMT for the Jackson County EMS Station #8 for 18 years. Bonny was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston and the teen supervisor for the National Campers and Hikers Association. She enjoyed painting, camping and spending time with her granddaughter.
Bonny is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert L. Morrow; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Susie Morrow of Wellston; granddaughter, Devon Morrow of Wellston; sister, Nancy Haas of Columbus; niece and nephews, Stephanie Kendrick, Paul William Haas and Richard Haas, all of Columbus, as well as numerous friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Richard Haas.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Father Donald Maroon officiating. In keeping with Bonny’s wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
